New England Weather
Data was created from my interest in the weather
and our
local weather conditions. Our Stataion is located
in Brookline NH which is a small
town in Hillsborough County just north of the
Mass. border. I decided to purchase
a weather system because I wanted to monitor the
conditions at my house. The
whole thing started with my curiosity of the wind
gusts, it always seemed windy
here, and I wanted to know what the actual wind
reading were. So we purchased
the Vantage Pro Plus by Davis Instruments. It
records all the weather variables
including Wind Chill, Dew Point, UV & Solar
Radiation. The data is sent from the
ISS sensor suite to the Console via wireless
signal every 2.5 sec. it is then down
loaded into the computer and then uploaded to New
England Weather Data.com
The wireless sensor suite is powerd by solar
panel which charges a lithium battery
for back up power. We added a seperate wind gauge
by Maximum Weather
Instruments, this is a wired gauge which is very
responsive to wind gusts with
(No Delay)
